Happiness means different things to each one of us. It also changes with the context and relativity of each one's situation. When we link permanent happiness with transient things such as money or relationships even...how can we expect to actually achieve it?
If we consider happiness as being content with what we have, you may be content with just 2 pairs of jeans, but I may have 10 and still want more... For those who don't even own 1 pair now, having 1 is being content...and slowly, something else sets it. A new desire, wish, want....and then, again, that becomes dust once it's achieved.
That's the transient nature of our state of happiness....it changes so quickly...the value of those things you own decreases so fast...
So, what am I saying?
Possibly a mindshift.
Rather than seeking outside, we begin to look inside.
Change our emotional state from wanting to thanking.
Shift from stressing over what you don't have, try understanding the purpose...asking, by going after this, what void am I trying to fill? If there is no void, then what will I gain and in the process what I am going to lose?
Once you make your peace with those answers, then promise yourself to enjoy the journey, the ups and the downs...the failures and the successes equally.
Own your choice and happiness is in the journey.

Are you catching yourself say "If I had the time ...", "I don't have time...", "What with all this I have to do, I don't have the time..."
Are you running behind time? Waiting for it to turn "perfect" or "Feels right" ? Well, that is a defeating purpose...
Do share here if you ever beat time to its own game?
You will, if you say, "Now, is the time." Now, is the time for you to do the things you always wanted to do. Take baby steps towards it, but there is no better moment to begin than, "Now".
